Team Budgie Smugglers on Thursday night became the second team to reach the finish line in the 2023 Race to Alaska. Team members Graham Shaw, Tom Bohanon, Jon Hodges, Dave Becker and Dan Melaugh nabbed second place in a Shaw 34 Catamaran sailboat that had previously sailed in the Race to Alaska in 2018. Team Budgie Smugglers, aboard the 33-foot catamaran Lightfoot, approach the finish line at Ketchikan's Thomas Basin to place second in the 2023 Race to Alaska at approximately 9:15 p.
