Ketchikan Police Chief Jeff Walls faces one felony charge and five misdemeanor charges, the most serious being third-degree assault. He's also charged with fourth-degree assault and reckless endangerment. Third-degree assault, a class C felony, carries a maximum penalty of five years in jail.
